What’s Next After Entering Club Competitions

by on Mar.08, 2011, under Club News

One of the challenges in being a camera club member is what to do with your best prints and digital images once you have used them in monthly competitions and the club’s annual exhibition.  Our club competitions can provide a general indication of how your work is developing, but other feedback is always to be welcomed.  This is why I intend to be available for you to bring images in to club for some extra feedback, or via email if you would prefer.

The Edwardstown Photography Club will be meeting in a different room for the first meetings in 2011, while the floor in the Clark building is repaired.

At this stage we will be meeting in the Rugby Room on Tuesday 18th and Tuesday 25th January.  See the map below.  We should still have access to our equipment in the cupboards in the store room of the Clark building.

The first meeting for the year will be a casual “show and tell”, where members are invited to share their photography from the holiday period. The club’s digital projector and laptop computer will be available for members to project their images.

This was followed by a visit to Graphic Arts Supplies, conveniently located across the road at Kent Town, where we learned about the importance of monitor calibration, and setting the ICC profiles of the paper for the photo printer being used.

This is a change to our printed program due to the unavailability of Ron Willems, who we hope to reschedule at a later date.
